This project is to develop new louver design concepts for Carrier & Bryant’s entry-tier units, ensuring distinct visual differentiation while maintaining the brand’s reputation for industry-leading performance. As the HVAC market becomes increasingly competitive, the goal is to refine the form language to create a cohesive, recognizable, and scalable design system that aligns with both brands’ evolving identities.

Carrier Louver System
What we did

The design process for Carrier’s HVAC units centered on translating the brand’s attributes—Smart, Vibrant, Dynamic, and Imaginative—into functional and visually compelling concepts. Through market research and iterative prototyping, the team explored Smart designs with clean precision, Vibrant concepts with bold energy, Dynamic forms with flowing adaptability, and Imaginative approaches that push boundaries. Each design balances aesthetics, performance, and manufacturability, ensuring alignment with Carrier’s brand identity and market needs.

The corner-post design is a key structural feature enhancing stability, durability, and ease of assembly. By integrating vertical and horizontal louvers, the design improves airflow efficiency and reduces internal visibility. The reinforced corner-post structure also optimizes stacking and transportation, aligning with Carrier’s goal of creating functional and visually distinctive HVAC solutions.
